Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your own experience in this piece. Years ago, I remember being fascinated with images of Brittany Spears committing outrageous acts being splashed about the internet. That all changed when she shaved her head. At that point I realized that she was sick and suffering and needed help.

When I saw the TMZ Kanye footage on CNN the other night I had the same feeling. His statements were offensive and outrageous, but also a clear signal he needs help. Although I think it is perfectly acceptable to refute his statements, this is not the time to launch a personal attack on the person who made them, nor is a time to follow him around and point cameras in his face.
