Michael K. Spencer, I’d love to know what the Medium founder said when he jumped into your previous conversation on this subject.

I find the current model a bit discouraging. I have a long form journalistic piece I’m pitching to editors right now even that I would prefer to publish it right here on Medium. I just fear I won’t get paid for it regardless of how many readers it drives to the platform. I’d like to say it doesn’t matter, but I spent two months on the writing and research, so I need to be compensated.
